What is Coaching and NLP?

Coaching is a conversational approach that facilitates a journey of self exploration, creating clarity of purpose and direction. It moves you from where you are in your life to where you want to be.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is one of the most powerful coaching methodologies and set of tools to help you make dramatic shifts in your life.

NLP uses techniques to help you understand how you came to think, behave and communicate the way you do and learn to manage your moods and emotions. By believing that the answer to one’s problems lies within, as a coach I can help you simply draw out the answers during safe and relaxed sessions. You will change the way you think and learn which can help bring more positive behaviours and successful goals and achievements.

What is Emotional Freedom Techniques/EFT?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or Meridian Tapping) is a proven evidence-based stress management technique that uses the science of modern psychology with the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine.

This talk-based approach relieves symptoms by lightly tapping on various body acupoints. Stimulating the acupoints balances energy meridians that become disrupted through negative memories or experiences. This is often accompanied by positive changes in thinking and transforming limiting beliefs. The technique is easy to learn and ideal for self-help.

How Does it Work?

The research demonstrates that EFT appears to affect the amygdala (stress centre in the brain) and hippocampus (memory centre), and both play a role in the decision process when you decide if something is a threat. Meridian acupoint stimulation deactivates the brains arousal pathways, calming the stress response.

EFT has also been shown to lower cortisol levels, which is the stress hormone. Too much cortisol can result in lowered immune function and ultimately affect our physical health.  EFT/Tapping is a tool which is practical, hands-on, and easy to apply, it is a unique way to assist people from all walks of life and it has an immediate calming effect.
